Today is exactly 8 years since the terrorist attack of the USS Cole (DDG-67) Navy destroyer off the coast of Yemen.

No mention in the media today of this tragedy, so far. Shameful - particularly since those who planned and perpetrated these actions are still free and the victims have not seen justice.

For all those who served on her during this tragedy and to the victims' families, my heart goes out to you on this day. Their memories and their service are not lost on this private citizen.

MOTTO

"GLORY IS THE REWARD OF VALOR" underscores the spirit of Sergeant Darrell S. Cole, his extraordinary heroism, his unwavering loyalty to his country, and his bravery in facing adversity without fear. "A DETERMINED WARRIOR"

May we pay honor and glory to their heroism, bravery and determination on this day.
