Why I Started Homeschooling

I realize that the majority of the posts in this blog are political in nature, but one of my reasons for choosing to homeschool my children this year was also political in nature.

If you haven't seen this widely circulated video, you should.

"Equal work for equal pay?"

”Red and yellow; black and white…they are equal in his sight”… Ummm... I do believe that is a Sunday School song and it was NOT talking about Obama. It was talking about JESUS CHRIST!

Pre-Algebra, Greek/Latin, English &Grammar, American History, Science.... that is an education. I am not sure what those children were doing.

And that is just one of the reasons why my boys are NOT in public school anymmore.

Holy crap! I hadn't seen that before now & honestly I'm more than a little creeped out by it.

Glad to hear that you're homeschooling your kidlets. If I had children I'd be doing the exact same thing. Public schools are scary places these days for so many different reasons.

Great decision! Homeschooling is a stellar alternative to public schools. It is absolutely sickening what the public school system has begun to do - it has gotten more rotten with every decade. How this sort of communistic nonsense is allowed to go on in our school system is ridiculous... and as a teacher, forcing your political beliefs down the throats of a bunch of little kids is nothing short of an insult to America. The organizers of this brainwashing session ought to be fired at once.

Have a wonderful school year teaching your kids.

I like the term "government school" as opposed to "public school". It's much more accurate because (as your video illustrates) these indoctrination centers really only exist to elevate the status of the state.

It's really not about educating kids and teaching them to think critically and logically. Government schools exist to create a population of dumbed down, compliant, and apathetic citizens. If you think about it, if you were the government, why would you want the people to think critically or, heaven forbid, question the status quo.

I'm glad to hear that more and more parents are seeing and understanding this and making the same choice you did to homeschool!

    Hello Belle.

It appears that we're of a like mind on the issue of public schools.

Hope your homeschooling is going successfully.

    Keep up the good work!
